Community Gatherings

October 2:  The TS Alliance of Greater Chicago hosts an educational Town Hall Meeting with Michael Korhman, MD starting at 11:00 am.  Our fantastic speaker will provide an update on current research in TSC, an explanation of the clinical trial process and how to make informed decisions about participating in future clinical trials, as well as how basic research translates into clinical care.  Upcoming community activities will also be discussed.  Please click here for the flyer and RSVP information.

Success Stories 
 

On May 27, 2010, Julie Scroggin held a Wine Tasting & Dinner Fundraiser at Ray Radigan’s Restaurant in Kenosha, Wisconsin in honor of her daughter Mary Ann to benefit the TS Alliance. Chef Mary Radigan created a very special menu with wine pairings and a silent auction featuring fun & unique items were on display for bidding. The event raised over $14,000 and next years event is already on the calendar for May 18, 2011.  Thank you Julie, Mary Ann and family for hosting this successful fundraiser for the TS Alliance. 
On May 22, 2010, the TS Alliance of Greater Chicago held the annual Step Forward to Cure TSC in Elk Grove. It was great day with more than 200 people participating in the walk and raising over $20,000 for research and family support programs.
 

 
They also held the inaugural Step Forward to Cure TSC in Galesburg where more than 150 people came out and raised over $11,000! Thank you to all the volunteers who helped set up and run the walk and helped everything run smoothly.  A special thank you to walk chairs Jenny Smiley and Karen Johnson-Wenger for their hard work, dedication and great success!
